Four inventapods makerspaces installed at Heriot-Watt University in Dubai. We were very busy today installing four of our PremiumPod units for Heriot-Watt University in Dubai for use in the electronic teaching lab. Heriot-Watt university appreciates the value of providing a place for their students to turn their ideas into something real. The inventapod units will be installed for:
- 3D Printing
- Laser cutting
- Arduino electromechanical projects, and
- Raspberry Pi code development
Heriot-Watt is preparing for ‘Be an engineer for a day’ event to show high school students what it is like being an engineer, by giving them an opportunity to tackle some of the problems engineers face, and how they go about solving them.
On Friday the 17th of January, 2019, we visited Heriot-Watt University Dubai campus to assist with the installation of four inventapod PremiumPod units purchased by the Head of School, Dr Tadhg O’Donovan. With limited space available and the need for organisation, the inventapod units were purchased to provide a functional space to students to explore ideas and test them out. Using 3D printers, laser cutters, and robotics, engineering students at Heriot-Watt University have a great place to do more than just engineering theory.
